1st Consultation

Was given a date for my 2nd consultation (its compulsory before proceeding to a final hearing).

Good point that Nigel brought up: enforce investigation on them through authoritative help. This will clear our doubt on the actual cause of SS liquidation and True Group Liability. I'm hoping the MP of commerce and trade will give me a good reply on this one.

I am mentally tortured by them the first day I put my signature on that oppressive contract with evil intention spelled in minute font. I can't allow them to go scot free. Mismanagement is their problem, we just want our spa services.

Work is smooth today. Except they couldnt plump some (ok A LOT) trades out. I think its because i made a mess of the ultra-sensitive excel sheet. And she had to apologize to Fangling on my behalf because i was emailing some wrong figures to the middle office =/

Lynn bought me and Budi brownie to thank us for the hard work this week. Can't wait for Judy to be back next week (: Must aim to leave before 8pm, as i've 1 SCT consultation & MP session to attend!

Waited for manager to finish her work as she offered to send me home in the cab she booked. So nice hor (: Nice people exist..hehe..had a good chat with her. She is like some career woman! Her husband/son must be so proud to have sucha driven/capable wife/mother.

44 more working days to endure.
Shall go on a long holiday once this is over.

Watch this Youtube video on the so-called 'Entrepreneur of the year', Gerald Lim. They should interview him on his hideout games and cheating tactics now. This makes me seethe. Much smoother work flow today.
And we managed to complete tasks by 8pm (:
I committed fewer mistakes as i managed to figure more logic along the way.

Lynn gave me a lunch treat at SU (korean cuisine).
And I came to realize that Budi is really humorous! LOL
He is really fast on generating contracts, when i'm done with 1, he is on his 5th one already. Tell me about it man =/
He is very helpful and kind to the blunders i've made.
Lynn is patient, giving me more responsibilities (and things to remember/learn) as each day past. I cannot let her down!

Think i must have been very blessed to have such good managers- Sei, Robert & Euan at my initial department. Now- Lynn, Petula & Pauline.
Sei came over at 8:20pm to knock off with me. Had a talk on the way & i feel so loved by my boss!! Hahaha, its true. He is so encouraging. And he said CDD welcomes me, anytime, any day (:

But this is almost like character building to me. Not to mention, flowering up my CV. I want to hang in there till 31st December.

Just addressed my concerns to Mdm Phua (MP of my area).
Hopefully it'll give her a better idea before i go into an indept discussion with her during 'Meet The People's' session next Tuesday.

I hope she can represent my interest and im urging her to raise this matter in parliament, propose legislation to protect consumers from such unethical business practices.

Rushed down during lunch to submit my Claim form at the subordinate court.
God's presence was so strong, i just felt it. He knew i was in a rush, and very fortunately, i picked up a queue number that was left behind by someone: 235. Mine's suppose to be 240. And i waited for 2 claimants before it was my turn. That already took up 45mins. Leaving me with 15mins to rush back to office and gobble down 1 kiwi, 1 papaya and 1 dragonfruit, to last me till 10pm.

Shannon is sucha caring senior. She bought me coffee, cheered me up with sweets, came over to massage me, make small talks. It's non-stop work from 9am-9pm. I barely went to the loo, drink water, IM with angie. Neverending, period.

Time lines to hit, volumes to clear. Reconciliation..suspense account..equity operations basically. But i need to build up my CV quickly. I cannot give up. At least gain 80% of the knowledge and move on for career advancement. Had a small pep talk with Lynn (team leader) before leaving today..she is very nice. I'm blessed.

Work was much smoother today. I'm still trying to get the flow..if i do this repeatedly, i might get a hang of it soon. Jiayou Shanice!

I'm depressed.

The internal transfer aka promotion comes with a hefty price.
I start work at 8.45am and end 'officially' at 9pm.
That was day 1 for me.
That's the nature of my new job. No more 5.30pm on the dot even if i chiong my work in the day.

The main air-con shutting off at 8pm, corridors cold and empty, all other departments knocking off..

I've never felt so lonely before..
Days with Angie & the other 3 tards seemed like heaven in comparison..

Like i said, i think God have the best worked out for me.
By putting me through this challenge, i think i'll end up being grateful for it in the long run.
Hopefully not that long a run..

Was working on the summary of my claim 2 hours ago.
Had to gather my thoughts, put down a time line, look through the evidences i've collected over the past 8 months, recall the appointments, clear my head, write in perfect English.
Submitting my claim form with 2 other members tmr at SCT.

Another member had her final hearing last week, and she sort of lost the case (no monetary compensation).
However, she managed to get her contract re-drafted.

I paid so much money just to be put under an immerse amount stress over the past 8 months.
Now the point is, every other member is presenting their case in a similiar way.
I want to stand out with a much stronger case. So while they schedule 2 consultations, i have to do a lot of research (such as finding out with the spa association the standards of the other spa centers, cancellation policies, long term solution, reducing uncertainties etc), stay calm in front of the judge & representatives from TS during the hearing.

Ngee Ann branch shut down its operations on 1st Oct 2010.
Cuppage closed its door yesterday, with 2 policemen standing outside as members file a police report.
This is NOT happening man.

Whatever that is happening right now bears eloquent and irrefutable testimony to TS breach of contract.
If law and justice don't prevail, God will take care of it.

Anyways, I've decided to go ahead with making a claim against True Spa via SCT. I organized a meet up with 2 other members who wanted to go through this procedure with me. Individual claims of course but we sort of needed help with the forms & to get some advice from the rest who are already in the midst of it all. We'll support each other as witnesses etc. I felt empowered after hearing successful stories of the other claimants. But it will only be to my favor if i present a strong case backed up with tons of evidence. Gotta prepare my time-line and start on consolidating fact finds.

Operations core hiring. They requested for me & Angeline to go over and help them. But Euan said they can only take 1 as it'll affect whatever we're engaged in, currently. And so, very unexpectedly, we were called down for an internal interview this afternoon to meet up with the 2 managers and 1 team manager. See if they like us etc. That was 2 individual interviews, all in a short span of an hour. I was shaken so badly!

If Angie gets the offer, i'll be very happy for her because she's hungrier for this position. If i get it, i'll accept it as this will be a fabulous opportunity for me to learn more about trading, equities, bonds, derivatives, settlements related stuffs. There's so much room for me to grow & develop.

We have proven to be the best 2 in our team. Efforts paid off, thank you. Sei & Robert must have seen something in us. Everything we've worked so hard for the last 6.5 months have been recognized. Imagine how delighted i was when Euan broke the good news to us. Spoke to Euan for a good 30mins & everything kinda got me emotional..we spoke on a friend-friend level, everything that upset me while working with the other unmotivated team-mates just poured open like the flood gates..im not that equipped to deal with office politics. I can put on a brave (bitch) front, ignore the negatives, but truth be told, it won't go away even if I choose to escape. End of the day, it affects the synergy & productivity of our team. Shall skip the boring details here..don't think you guys are remotely interested. Heh.

I don't think its direct competition. She've her merits, i've my own merits. May the best man win! Jiayou to both of us Angie!!

Godma's 70th

Seafood paradise.

12 course meal but i barely completed 5 course. Appetite haven't been good plus i am recovering from stomach virus/food poisoning earlier this week.

It was good catching up with 'relatives' & friends..knew most of my Godma's relatives through church and gatherings..sometimes funeral..

And i really wish Godpa was still around to witness such events..he would have been so happy to be a part of it.
