Cleared my work fast today...since it was 1/2 day and my supervisor wasnt there, it was havoc time for me! -grinz- I was walking ard, eating Famous Amos while singing to songs on the radio. It's one week at SingTel..i've a feeling i'll stay there for long. =))

Think my Mum's really nice these days. She's showering me with a lot of attention and motherly touches. Warm feeling..the 2nd-child-syndrome vanished for that period of time.

It's Surf&Sweat tmr. Not that excited. Oldest's 35 years old and youngest my sister who's 16 this year. Oh, 66 teams in total..thats quite a bit. =s

Work was alright..did a lot of registration today as compared to other days. Was busy busy busy..but i caught a few glimpse of that cutie. =))

When town for some light shopping after work. Bought my lil' sister's bday present from Topshop..and i got myself a canvas vintage shorts from Fox's new collection. I'm a happy girl. =) Was v tempted to walk into Bysi and FCUK...but i held my breath and walked off. Just waitin to receive menny red packets during cny before i transform myself back to Shanice the Shopoholic!

I spent quite a bit at Watson's too! The snack sales were unbelievably cheap. I bought lottsa junk food to store at my desk in case i get hungry during work. Seriously, my tummy is growing so huge nobody can stop me now. =/ It'll be an embarrassment on Sunday at Sentosa with me in a wetsuit..gees..cant wait to see Melissa and Liyu though.. =))

I've lost all hope for Surf&Sweat..i pray my sister and Marcus will win cause they stand a high chance.

Work's fine...cleared everything on the dot today. In fact, i'd one minute free before i knocked off. *grinz* Thank God Daphne talks to me. Im super desk-bound...except times when i go to the loo or pick up faxes.

Man, the bung's really a distraction. She makes my heart pump extra extra fast. Haha..think im going crazy for her. No no..this sound so so wrong..ughs..but good in a way lar..motivation to go work. SingTel-first day!!

Ouch...my shoulders and back hurt like crazy. No thanks to the mighty watty sun! Im burnt..but i really love the colour of my tann. =)) Its like freshly baked buns..hooooot!

First day at work...was pretty okie. I'm in charge of sim card registrations. Pretty tiring typing numbers the entire day. Tmr, i'll be working independently already cause it was Yee Ling's last day today. Sigh..she's nice and helpful..gave me M&Ms and SNICKERS..both my fav! Well, lunch with the girls was good..the chicken chop's fabulous i think ya! Thank God Tirene's there to company me though we work for different departments.

Saw a few PL lites working there too. Im probably one of the youngest employee..and oh..there's this cute bung over that. Haha..shit!!!!

Wonder how long can i stay in this job..must persevere..

Sentosa

Its Sunset Bay with Liyu today. =)) Had fun soaking up the heat and just reading our books. Mighty mighty sun!! Shall not mention other stuff we did..its embarrassing. Haha. Lunch at Delifrance of course..my favourite. *grin* Oh, i saw Eve and her friend. Haha..

Anyway, my dear friend Liyu thinks that a jet ski is actually called a scooter. *clash of the cymbals please* Oh..are VJC students that dense??!! haha..just teasing her..she's darn smart i tell ya. Hot and "brainful". =b

Did the trail run for next Sunday's competition at Siloso Beach. So gonna die..my stamina dropped to hell. Kill me pls. Im black...reddish-black kinda tann. How to go work tmr?? My first day somemore. Gees..

Well, 2 group of guys came to chat us up. Pretty turned off but oh well...they were swallow enough to ask for her number and if they could be friends. I let her do all the talking..i knew ALL were interested in that hot babe-Liyu.

Anyways, we were just strolling by the beach and stuff. All the hunks had their eyes glued onto her. *shakes head* She was under-dressed u see. Haha..even the angmohs where making eyes at each other to signal that she's hot. My my..everytime i go out with her, she attracts countless of male species.

But the beach bar guys were nice..they offered to throw in 2 free drinks if we get the "special seats" for unlimited time. Too bad, we were cashless and they dont accept NETS.

Was fun..7 hours with her. =)) I love her so much!!! Ughs...she's bad influence. Haha.. *winks*

SAT test

SAT test was exciting. 4 math sections...which totally benefited me. Those 2 verbal sections were pretty much screwed. Couldnt remember most of the vocabs that was v familiar to me. How bad is that.

Well, I was at the Singapore American School right? Then i got to know 1 hawaiian girl who's 17 years old..she's friendly and all. 2 jap girls and 2 messy/curly hair guys. Haha..they sound like fruits to me. Oops. Okie..and got to know one Temask JC fat girl. =b

Mum woke up early to company me there. Can you believe it..all the way to Marsling? =)) She waited approximately 4hours for me before having lunch at the famous chicken rice stall. We head down to Causeway Point for some shopping after that. Why do i love shoppin with Mum so much? Cause she pays for ALL my stuff!! Yay...!!

Got some lingerie (again). Hey! I'll never get enough of it. The more the merrier in fact. Haha. She bought me a cardigan for work and a sleeveless top. Think it cost her about $130. She claims it is for CNY. Hell no...haha...gonna make her buy more for me. Who called her to confiscate my cards! Had wanted her to buy me the JAY CHOU cd..decided against it. I wont understand a shit anyway. Hurhs.

Sentosa tmr! =)) Finally i dont have to study for anything anymore. Shall nourish my mind with some good novels then.

Taking my SAT test tmr at spore american sch. Kinda sian..didnt study much for it. Burn midnight oil later..have to get those vocabs right and strategise on something. Wanna hit a high 1300. Hmm..

Caught a midnight show yesterday-The Aviator. Was a 2hr 50min show, could hardly sit still. But all in all, it was a pretty good. Learnt more about the obsessive-compulsive disorder. Leonardo DiCaprio's the man!! =))

Last day at NCSS

Today's my last day at work. Meng Leng bought me a peach cake as a farewell gift. Aww...how sweet?? =)) Finally got to talk to the friendly eggtart guy..found out he's only 23 years old. *jaw drops* He was very nice to me during my "stay"..didnt leave me outta everything he does. =)

Was busy from morning till now. Slacking while trying to practise some SAT brain busters. Check out the conversation this morning exchanged between my supervisor Charlie, colleague Andrew and Shanice the temp:

Went IKEA with Christopher yesternight. Apparently my booging plans at phuture failed like crap. Had the swedish meatballs and chicken wings for dinner. Hell was it filing. Then of course we wont miss out on the $1.70 hotdog and drink set after shopping right? Haha...cheapo geeks....ahhhh.....

Soft Landing

Liyu and Shanice goes to GIM COFFEESHOP for breakfast every morning. They'll each order one half-boiled egg and 2 kaya toasts. While having egg mucas all over their chin and mouth, they'll joke and laugh about everything under the sun.

Firstly, she taught me how to do "soft landing" in the washroom. Man was i impressed. *grinz*

Secondly, we had a huge debate on where the hell's the hymen. Boy, im SURE we dont know our body. It's way too complex for SCIENCE students like us. No no...im an ARTS student. Hurhs..

Thirdly, she claims to be from some health group called LHG. It stands for LIYU HEALTH GROUP. Trust me, her diet's bad bad bad. Haha..she lusts for ice-cream daily.

Guess what?? Then im from SHB: SHANICE HEALTH BOARD. *dang* Im the most unhealthy person ever. Today's the only day i didnt've macs ice-cream for lunch.

Took 1/2 day leave to go for Singtel job interview. Pay is indeed v attractive. But i must say office politics was eminently evident, right from the time i stepped into the office till the interview was over. How i know right?? The way my supervisor told me "stuff". Anyway, i got the 5 and a 1/2 day job at $6.50 per hour. Thank you. =)) Glad i've got Tirene to company me there. Yay...

Just worried for math..cant believe im a Mathematic (c) 9233 student some more. *faints*

8 more days and my contract for this job will end. So gonna job hop. Can't stand starin into the computer for 8hours everyday. I need human contact!!!!!!

Anyway, work yesterday was pretty bad. Made so many mistakes from the previous days of work. My in-charge kept making those 'i-am-dissed' kinda noise when he spoke to me. After lunch, everything was much better. =)) Perhaps because Liyu treated me to Macs's ice-cream cone for lunch again. Haha..2 more weeks, thats about 10days and im so done with this job. Aarghs..

At my lil' cubicle in this bulding of walls and computer. Human relations, sadly, can hardly be seen..i heard the phone ringing and the ladies trying to negociate "biz". Im working for the Partnership Relations. That guy next to my cubicle asked me to have lunch with him as he saw me alone. Haha..hell no..i was waiting for Liyu!!

Feeling a liiiittle peevish and querulous now..after staring at the computer for 8hours (again). No scenary to admire..aarghs..fixed space..fixed vision..

Me and Liyu had Macs ice-cream cone for 'after-lunch-desert' again. We're so gonna look like Barney the Dino soon. My tummy's expanding at a rate i dont wanna know. No more tanning..no figure to flaunt anymore? =/

Did i mention i woke up late today?? Yes i did. Got a shock when my hp flashed 8.17am right in my face (work starts at 9am). Took cab down of course..darn..there goes 12bucks. *groans*

Work's over in 30mins. It aint so bad actually, just a bit dull. Jacqie offered me a DBS job in the afternoon. Its pending now..wishing and praying it'll be mine. *cross my fingers*

NCSS day 1

My my...i was lost at work today. I couldnt find my table. Then i realised that i was on the wrong floor. *DANG!* haha..why do they all look alike then? *slaps myself*

Stared at the freaking computer for 8hours today. Majar grossness...my eyes're so dry now. Working is friggin independent...i didnt have anyone to converse with other than meeting Liyu before and after work and during lunch break. The guy whom offered me an eggtart's not counted..neither is the cleaner who talked to me nor the hokkien friendly "auntie". Haha..lotsa beautiful women there!! *grin*

But the end of this month, i'd have worked for 14days. Thats a total of about 640bucks. =)) Im so gonna get my credits and bankbook back!! Aarghs...

Met up with Cheryl (like finally) for dinner yesternight. When i saw her, all my anger vanished...she became my best friend again. Haha..why did i mention the word "again"? That's because she was so busy after coming back from Australia for an annual break and got no freaking time to date me. See why am i angry? No best friends behave like this. I'll kick her back to Monash if she ever dares upset me again. Haha. Kiddin on that part. I love her! *though she resembles a dumpling now* Haha.. -oops!-

We wasted the Swensen's ice-cream and apple desert. I'm so gonna be on a diet..its damn sinful to dine there.

I wanna watch SHALL WE DANCE!!! Not sure what other good shows are there..but i wanna get plenty of books too!! Almost finishing all my books. 2 books in 10 days for the start is not bad i suppose. =)

Oh...and my hair seems pretty dry these days. Time to hit the salon once i get my pay! Alrights..its not even a week and im already thinking of my pay. Darn...thats lust!!! Haha..

NTU talk

What happens when two talks interest you at the same time? Was keen on listening to the Arts&Social and Accounting/Business. But i cant be at both ballrooms, the same time right?

Oh well, was boring. Knew most of the stuff and divisions the NTU prof shared. So..was draggy for me. Bummed into Michelle and Grace there! And the a04 girls as well. =))

Think the best would be for me to major in Biz then i take up Psychology as a minor. I still want to be specialised in either. Guess i'd rather study for the next few years than to go out and find a job. -_-

Marcus (squirtz/spermy) joined me and Edward for lunch at Raffles City. Was duper hilarious..all the cow and milking shit..the SIZE..the animated chopsticks..haha..ugly and mobid face distortions..man..Twas quite an afternoon spent! *grinz*

Went to get working pants from G2000. Had a hard time with the sizes and designs. I look like im in pj's. *pouts* Why're workin clothes so gross? Oh, but i love the "transparent" blouses they offer. Haha..airy!! =b

Edward came to repair my computer (and have free dinner..hahaha). Quite impressed with what he had done. Haha..although its only done halfway. Well-done anyways. Either way, i'm still appreciative you put in so much to get 'something' done. =))

This is so strange...Xiangjing and Grace both got their HSBC job from Trisha (Kelly Services). Haha..maybe thats why i didnt get the job. She said more bank offers next week. So hopefully DBS picks me up.

Watched Being Julia with Edward.. =)) It aint abt love, was more like a revenge story. And how older people apparently rules over the younger generation. Something like that. Was a beautiful show..

More and more interviews

Went for 4 interviews today. Shagged like crap.

Me and Liyu got in for the 1st interview. We're gonna be some kinda events assistant and the pay's about $1000-$1200 with $100 as incentives for being on-time every month. Next, the pay's adjustable after 2 months of probation. Considering.

Next, we went for 2 interviews in the same building. Didnt realise they're of the same holdings till awhile later. So anyways, the 18 year old malay guy took us around to see the working environment. Every office he passes by, he introduced to us te directors and told us what kinda car he's driving. Hell..like i care what the bosses drive. As liyu was prettier as compared to pathetic me, the stupid short arse keep looking at her. Not once did he make eye-contact with me. Well, once or twice aint considered. Was bad..i hate him. Anyhows, they called us back to say we qualified for the 2nd interview tmr which will take about 3hours cause they needa brief us on the job and company. Pay is confidential so im not sure of anything. Considering.

Third interview was a job agency company. I can see outsourcing at work. Was good except starting pay is only a mere $5.50. Thats crap too low for my calibre..besides, there's like terms and condition. Worst if i break any contact.

Thus, for 3 days, i've been to 3 job agencies. Countless of job interviews. Filled in so many forms i can puke and my hands can rot. Worst of all was the travelling fee. Shared cab with Liyu all the time and bus rides aint exactly cheap now. Adults fare SUCK!!!

By the way, i didnt go for my $7 per hour job this morning. Decided to hunt ard more.

The dilemna's that i have 2 jobs at hand tomorrow and 1 interview to confirm the work at the foreign bank with Kelly Services tomorrow as well. I hope i get the bank one so i can cancel the other potentials. Wish me luck!!!

Job hunt

I cant remember the details of the past few days.

All i can remember is waking up to another new page of classified (RECRUITS) and going for interviews with Liyu. And seems like none are successful so i tried looking through RECRUIT EXPRESS and KELLY SERVICES.

Anyhows, i took up the $7 per hour offer temporary. Till i'm offered a better office job that is. *cross my fingers* I want long working hours!!! It's some image consultation company called NbyN. They're new in the market and needed lotsa promotions. All i have to do is to make the adults answer 5 questions and give them a free voucher to have their photos taken by professionals at their studio. Sounds ok. *shrugs*

It'll be better than staying home, and not earning a single cent. Or travelling all over for interviews. Waste money..ahhhh..why no luck..its been 2 days of job hunting!!! Args.....

Oh, i went to visit Shuyun at work the other day. Haha..why did i have to go Bali??? If not, i'd be offered the Giordano job already!

Hmmm...broken two resolutions already I'm afraid. I tripped over a slugand that got me mad so I threw soil over it. Then...I stuck my tongue out at a frog on the bus - for no reason!

Lazy Sunday..tmr will be making a trip down to International Plaza for job search. Why cant Daddy take me in....args....

It's the 2nd day of the year...i dont feel like its actually a new year. =/

New Year Resolutions

Just thought about my resolutions for 2005

1) Give within my limits to people who need the cash more than i do.
2) No more "fcuk"s sprouting off my mouth.
3) Exercise at least once a week. Needa tone up.
4) Maintain a good diet-more vegetables.
5) Make sure i stay under the weight of 45kg.
6) Try to finish 1 book per month despite busy schedules.
7) Continue violin lessons.
8) Get my new plastic spectacles. Degree's rising fast.
9) Enter some kinda university.
10) Continue spending time with family & friends. Not dumping 'old' friends for new ones.
11) Try to attend mass or service more often.
12) Dont spend like i have no tomorrow. Time to control my finances (tightly).
13) Love myself more. No more nonsense or monkey businesses.

Sentosa was boring. Crowd's not that fantastic. Music after midnight was lousy. But i saw Yewcheo, Huishan, Angeline, Eve, Komui and my honey Xiangjing!! Huge difficulty looking for her in that human mess!!

PTK caught the frisbee thrown from the stage by Olinda Chio..wow..how lucky! haha..

Welcomed yaer 2005 with some noise and madness on Siloso Beach with PTK. Was nice..haha..

You wont believe what i did at Delifance. But its the most logical thing to do. But its bad lar..I always start my year WRONG!! x_X
