The Prime Society LUNCH:

Starter (Choice of one selection)

* Scallop and pine nut salad
Seared Hokkaido scallops tossed with baby spinach and pine nuts dressed in chermoula vinaigrette

* Ceasar salad
Baby cos leaves, parma ham, anchovis, parmesan cheese and lemon pepper mayonnaise

Main (Choice of one selection)

* White peppered Dory
Pan seared dorry fillet served with caramelised parsnip and parmesan puree, champagne braised leek and parsley

* Gun powdered Beef
Gunpowdered wagyu served with potato and garlic puree and basil infused vine ripened tomato

Dessert

Berries and Cream
Vanilla bavarois, fresh mint rasberries and strawberries compote and chocolate soil

il Lido LUNCH:

Starter (Choice of one selection)

* Scallops with chanterelle mushrooms, sweet garlic cream and crispy prosciutto

* Porcini mushroom & truffle cream soup

Main (Choice of one selection)

* Angel hair pasta with spicy baby prawns

* Atlantic cod with cantarelle mushroom, baby leeks and prosecco wine sauce

* Slow cooked wagyu beef cheek with celeriac and crunchy vegetables

Dessert

* Molten lava chocolate cake in hazelnut crust with vanilla ice cream

The White Rabbit & The Prime Society got my vote in terms of service. il Lido's service wasn't on par at all.

Food wise (based solely on the restaurant week menu), i think The Prime Society wins.

The White Rabbit/The Prime Society's ala cart menu is the best somehow.

il Lido disappointed me this time. The cod & sea bass was alright. But i like the wagyu beef cheek a lot. Starters & desserts failed to impress. Maybe because the menu is the cheapest among the 3 restaurants i picked out this time round.

And my gut feeling was right.
I've accepted the job offer by NOMURA and i'll start work next Thursday.
Friday is p.hols so i get to enjoy a long weekend.

God is good, all the time!

I'm actually a bit relaxed this time round.
I know i'm not a desk-bound-person but i'll work it.

So, bring it on!

Answer: I can't commit to it but i promise i won't let it die off.

Since i'm under their direct headcount, i get medical benefits & annual leave etc.

Its been a crazy week so far.
New collection & keeping up with appointments.

Lucinda (my PA for the current collection) nearly died carrying 45 jeans & 250 envelopes home for me today. I've thus learnt my lesson; hire a male helper instead. Poor girl..but she got to sit down with me for lunch during her 4 hours & a shopping trip to Orchard (needed her to grab some stuff).

Somehow, even with a PA, i still feel the stress.

Woke up really early for interview at Nomura.
9 months contract, attractive pay with no benefits.
I have a good feeling about this one.
We shall see (:

One hell of a week!

Carried 30kg of stocks till my wrist nearly BROKE.

IKEA-ed with the Gen and Jess.
Followed by non-stop madness at TOPSHOP.
Such delightful girlies (:

I felt so loved when the auntie de-shell the prawns for me and Gen kindly peeled the chicken leg for me (:

Wasnt too bad a movie. 3 stars?

Then yesternight was Being Human with family after steamboat at Tian Fu with Bang, PJ & Jasen (V..Jasmine..* * insert some chinese name).
I really like the part whereby they started dancing to "Sorry Sorry".

Current collection is almost sold out.
I'm really thankful.
Tmr is night shoot at studio with Adeline.

Tuesday morning 10am launch new collection, 12 noon lunch at The Prime Society, 2.30pm scrapbooking class.
I think im really to collapse.

But because i feel so broke, im going to fight till i die.
I've worked so damn hard this week. But what I saw was the figures in my account fluctuate like stocks. I need to have some discipline!

Booked studio from 3-6pm but model arrived only at 4.40pm.
Next customer need the studio at 6.30pm.
But they were nice to wait for us as we tried to wrap up.
Super rushed for a mega collection.
Didnt finish shooting :(

All my models have super bad time management.
Justina is the best though. I love my baby!
But i don't pay them, so i guess i don't have the right to whine?

The amount of emails i have to clear, invoices to send out & payments to tally is DEPLORABLE.
My PA is not available for this collection so i guess i have to suck it up & work to death.
Thankfully Dadee is sending me to the PO else my shoulders will break.

Am trying to enjoy the process.
When my efforts are recognised, i beam with pride! (:

Wish me luck. Hope to clear the bulk of work by Friday.

For the 1st time in my life, i home-delivered lunch to J's place.
Didnt know what he wanted so i bought rice, porridge & noodles for the sick boy.
He is on MC and i needed to collect a thumbdrive from him.

He bought the LaCie one for me.
Its extremely gorgeous (and pricey)!
And all the little little gifts to make my miserable life a little more smooth.

Bangkok 2010

Highlights of Bangkok trip 2010:

1) Caught in the worst traffic jam from JJ weekend market to centralworld

2) RCA (Royal City Avenue) with Linderr didnt come true :(

3) Crazy shopping & walking till my legs/back ached..no time for massage even

4) Hard time packing my luggage

5) Best last night at sky bar (64th floor) - Lebua

6) Worst stock-take trip alive. Nothing much caught my eye?

7) Awesome hotel: clean, new & service exceeded my expectations

8) The only trip with no "taxi problems"

9) I'm the only one who can take 'real' spicy tomyam dishes :b

10) Lucky to locate all the shops i frequent pretty easily.

11) I curse the mad weather.

Overall, a good trip with good company (: No pics of J because she wants to remain low profile. Needa plan more holidays..my itinerary is empty already..args!!
